Fever is the eighth album by Australian singer Kylie Minogue, released in late 2001 in Europe and Australia, 2002 in North America by Parlophone, Mushroom and Capitol.
Album information
The lead single, "Can't Get You Out of My Head", was a number one hit in multiple countries. The album reached number one on the Australian and many European charts and sold 1.9 million copies in the United Kingdom alone.[1] The album has sold 8 million copies worldwide, making it Minogue's best selling album ever.[2] It was followed by the KylieFever2002 Tour. It became Minogue's highest-selling album in Australia, USA, Canada, Russia among others and her overall highest selling album.
In 2008 it was announced that the album is the first album released by a Non-Russian act in the history of recorded music to receive a Diamond certification in Russia.[3] The album has beaten the likes of Michael Jackson's Thriller and Madonna's The Immaculate Collection to the title. The album won Best International Album at the 2002 Brit Awards.
There are three different versions of the album cover. The original version had Minogue wearing white and holding a microphone. This version was distributed to Australia, Asia, Europe, Latin America and Canada. When the album was later released in the U.S. and re-issued (in some countries) in Asia, the cover was changed to a cover similar to that of In Your Eyes. This cover is also available in Canada. The cover for the bonus disc edition is similar to the original, but with Minogue wearing a blue PVC costume instead.
Singles
- "Can't Get You Out of My Head" was released in September 2001 in Europe and Australia. It debuted at number one in Australia, Ireland, and the UK and remained there for four weeks in each of the three countries. It also hit the top spot in some chart in over 40 countries. In 2002, the song was released in the U.S. and became her second ever top-ten hit, reaching number seven on the Billboard Hot 100. It was her first top-ten hit in the U.S. since 1988, the first being "The Loco-Motion". It also reached number one on the US Dance/Club Play chart.
- "In Your Eyes" was released in February 2002. It reached the top position in Australia, Hungary and Romania, while peaking at number three in the UK, number six in Ireland and number eleven in Canada. It was not released in the United States.
- "Love at First Sight" was released in June 2002. It reached number two in the UK and number three in Australia. (The b-side was the acclaimed "Can't Get Blue Monday Out Of My Head" remix.) The track was nominated for a Grammy Award for Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2003, after reaching number one on the U.S. Dance/Club Play chart. It reached number twenty-three on the Billboard Hot 100. It peaked at number seven on the Irish Singles Chart. Note: this is not the same song as the "Love at First Sight" that appears on Minogue's 1988 debut, Kylie.
- "Come Into My World" was released in November 2002. It reached number four in Australia, number eight in the UK, number eleven in Ireland and number ninety-one on the US Billboard Hot 100. The track won the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2004.

- Note #1: Due to an error at the record company, most editions of this disc include a version of "Whenever You Feel Like It" featuring noticeably uneven sound levels, with the chorus playing much more muffled, low volume than the rest of the song. It is reported that some Asian editions are unaffected.
- Note #2: Due to an error in the disc pressing, the Brazilian editions of the double disc album, came with the discs inverted. The disc that has the words "bonus disc" on it, is actually the regular album, and the other disc has the remixes.
